Promoting sports & science at the Bishop’s Conservatory Primary School

The Bishop’s Conservatory Primary School in Victoria, Gozo, was a recent beneficiary of funds through the eco-Gozo scheme for educational institutions. The project is aimed at promoting sports and to combat obesity among children, as well as to promote science and research in school and to promote creativity in children through pottery and crafts.
Hands-on activities, along with various pottery lessons took place and students were able to create their own pencil holders and other pottery sculptures. Moreover, various sports and science equipment were procured for more effective science lessons and physical activities.
The Minister for Gozo, Dr Anton Refalo, recently paid a visit the school to inaugurate the project. Funding was available through the eco-Gozo scheme for educational institutions, out of which a total of 16 schools are benefitting. This project was awarded the maximum grant of €3,000.
