The annual general meeting of the Xaghra Local Council was held last Sunday, at the office of the Council. The meeting started with the reading of the administrative report by the Mayor, Mr. Joe Cordina, during which he provided an account of the Council’s activity for the past year.

Taking into consideration the accruals and prepayments covering the same period of time, the Council would end up with a favourable financial balance of €16,139.

The Mayor’s speech was followed by the Council deputy Executive Secretary Ivan Attard, who submitted the financial estimates for the current year including also the Council’s business plan for the next three years.
