The Police have advised that five persons were arrested last Friday 28th February, in an operation which took place in Cirkewwa.

These persons are between 20 and 27 years old and live in Birkirkara, Zabbar, Ghaxaq and Naxxar. They were found in possession of MDMA (Ecstasy), Cannabis resin and Cannabis grass.

Last night, the Police also arrested twenty persons after a series of raids and searches in Gozo. Sixteen of them were found in possession of Ecstasy, Cocaine and Cannabis, while the other four were found in possession of Cocaine and Ecstasy, in circumstances which show that they were not for their personal use. The ages of those arrested vary between 18 and 32 years.

Police investigations are still ongoing and these persons will be arraigned in Court in the coming days.
