Parliamentary Secretary for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and Active Ageing, Dr Justyne Caruana, has advised that the period of public consultation on the National Policy on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities will close tomorrow.
The Parliamentary Secretary said that she would like to thank all those who participated in the public consultation so far, especially those who took part in the consultative seminar on Friday, the seminar was attended by around 150 people.
Dr Caruana said that she believes that an effective policy must come from listening to what people have to say. The input received at the seminar on Friday has shown just how great the need is for the Government to provide the opportunity for peoples voices to be heard, and above all that the Government should listen closely to what they say.
Therefore, in order to get the best possible policy, the Parliamentary Secretary is making the last and final call for any remaining feedback on this policy, feedback can also be sent by email to disabilitypolicy.mfss @ gov.mt.
