Gaulitana: A Festival of Music 2014 comes to a close tomorrow evening with the Finale – Celebrating 2 Canonisations – Sacred Concert, taking place at the St Peter & St Paul Basilica, Nadur.

Two Masses by local composers will be performed, Messa Papa Giovanni XXIII, written by Joseph Vella and Missa Brevis In Honorem Johannis Pauli II, written by the choir’s director Colin Attard, which are both well-known to local musical circles.

There will also be an address by H.L. Mgr. Charles J. Scicluna, Auxiliary Bishop and Vicar General of the Diocese of Malta, about the two Popes, John XXIII and John Paul II.

An exhibition of books about Pope John Paul II from the private collection of Stephen Attard will also be launched.

The Concert, which is free of charge, starts at 8.30pm on Saturday evening, patrons are kindly requested to be seated 15 minutes before. The concert is taking place in collaboration with the Nadur Local Council.
