The Catholic Action Movement Gozo launched the annual Campaign towards a ‘Morally Strong Environment,’ in the church dedicated to Our Lady of Mount Carmel, in the Ta’ Hamet area.
The first part of the activity consisted of Eucharistic Adoration, which included meditating the mysteries of the Rosary and quotations from St Gianna Beretta Molla (on her tenth Canonisation anniversary) and Popes John XXIII and John Paul II .
It was then the turn of Bishop Mario Grech who concelebrated Mass. During the homily he emphasised the proven fact that “the real peace and joy we all seek cannot be acquired through immoral deeds.”
The Bishop encouraged those present to “act as advertisements for what is good in the way they live joyfully in the Spirit of the Lord.”
The activity was concluded with a a pilgrimage with the statue of Our Lady of Fatima around the neighbourhood, followed with Sacramental Blessing by Fr Rector, Mgr. Carmelo Hili.
