Therese Comodini Cachia, MEP for the Nationalist Party, had meetings on Saturday with a number of representatives from Gozitan organisations and non.governmental entities, including the Gozo University Group (GUG), the Regional Youth Council and the Gozo NGOs Association.

Dr Comodini Cachia congratulated the representatives of these organisations for the work that they carry out on the island.

Dr Comodini Cachia said that she will be working to bring Europe closer Gozo with a proposal for structures in order to represent the needs and aspirations of the island of Gozo, as well as offer more opportunities to Gozo.

She encouraged these NGOs to maintain an active role in society and not to hesitate to make their voice heard and participate in social dialogue, especially when they have conducted studies on issues affecting Gozitans.
