Finance Minister Prof. Edward Scicluna met members of the Gozo Regional Youth Council

The Gozo Regional Youth Council serves as an umbrella organisation that gathers youth organisations based in Gozo, and aspires to be an important pillar of the civil society by representing Gozitan youths of all backgrounds.

The Gozo Youth Council was represented by President Ryan Mercieca and PRO Eman Borg. The purpose of the meeting was for the Gozo Regional Youth Council to hold an introductory meeting with Minister Scicluna and discuss opportunities for the Gozo Regional Youth Council to establish itself as a valuable and productive pillar of civil society.

During the meeting, Prof. Scicluna underlined how all non-governmental organisations, irrespective of sector, should look towards establishing a solid and professional management and administrative core. He also emphasised the importance that best practices adhered to by similar organisations operating on EU levels should also be emulated.

This core would serve as the backbone of the organisation, and allow it to further its goals in a sustainable and effective manner. Prof. Scicluna also welcomed the Council’s efforts in this regard.
