For the fourth consecutive year in Zebbug, Gozo, on the eve of the feast of the Assumption of Mary, there will be a spectacular fireworks display to music display. The theme chosen for this year is ‘Sky Concert’ and this year its choreography will be totally different from previous years.

The Saint Mary Fireworks Group will present a unique pyromusical with various ground and aerial pyrotechnic effects, well-blended and synchronised to popular musical scores. This has been made possible with the full collaboration between the Saint Mary Fireworks Group of Zebbug, Gozo and Merlinfire (Malta).

The fireworks will mainly be provided by the Lily Fireworks Factory of Mqabba (Malta), the 12th May fireworks factory of Zebbug (Malta), St. Andrews Band Fireworks Factory Luqa (Malta), St. Mary’s Fireworks Factory Qrendi (Malta) and Virtut Fireworks Factory from Gharb (Gozo).

Later in the evening a ground fireworks display will be let off at the main village square. Another pyromusical will again follow at the village main square, bringing to an end this celebration of colours, sound and light on the eve of the feast.

This event takes place on Saturday, the 23rd of August, starting at 9.45pm and everyone is warmly invited to attend.

On Sunday, the 24th of August 2014, feast day, from 7.00pm onwards, there will be another spectacular traditional fireworks display, which will accompany the procession with the statue of Saint Mary, and will end with another spectacular fireworks display at around 10.30pm.

Next Tuesday, the 19th of August, from 8.00pm onwards, a traditional festive dinner together with an evening of entertainment by local talent, is being organised at the village main square, this will be its 26th consecutive year. for more information and bookings please contact 21559568.
