This weekend Gozo SPCA will be holding a collection on the Gozo Channel ferries, starting on Friday morning and continuing through to Sunday evening.

A spokesperson for the Gozo SPCA said that “this is a vital part of our annual fundraising efforts, accounting for up to 25% of our annual income, so please consider giving a donation if you see one of our volunteer collectors.”

However, if you are not planning a trip to Gozo this weekend, but would still like to contribute, you can do so in the following ways

The Centre currently has 9 dogs and 11 kittens waiting for loving homes, and with no animals rehomed over the past week the Centre said that sadly they have no more space available to take other dogs, kittens or cats in.

Therefore in case of emergency the Gozo SPCA advises to please call animal welfare on 1717, which is manned 24/7.

The animals can be reserved for rehoming and a gallery is available which features many of the dogs and cats that are currently in need of new homes.
