Gozo village youth games, Giochi senza Frontiere – It’s a Knockout! saw its second event this week, this time in Xewkija.

4 teams of youngsters from Xewkija took part in a series of games that included tug of war and water games, a large size sack race and three legged race, among others. There was entertainment from some of the young local artists and donations for charity.The teams battled it out: Tigers, Yellow Stars, Vipers and Foxes. Yellow stars won the competition with 28 points followed by Vipers 27, Foxes 19 and Tigers 10. It was a very close and exciting competition between the Yellow Stars and Vipers right up until the end, when the winner was declared in the last game, the tug of war.With events already held at Qala, Zebbug, Xaghra, and Sannat, which now only leaves Victoria before the grand final in Marsalfon.

The event in Victoria is on Tuesday, the 9th of September, in the parking area next to Arkadia, starting at 7.30pm.

The final, will be contested in Marsalforn on the 11th of September, starting at 7.30pm, during which the following prizes will be handed out:

1st place – Tablet android for each player sponsored by TcTc

2nd place – €25 voucher for each player sponsored by Arkadia

3rd place – €20 voucher for each player sponsored by Odessey Restaurant.
