For the Sixth consecutive year, the Ghaqda Muzikali San Girgor of Kercem will be organising ‘Festubru,’ the popular annual festival of island tradition for all the family.

This year it will be held on the 3rd and 4th of October, and as always it will be located at the most picturesque valley in the Maltese Islands, Lunzjata Valley, just on the borders between Victoria and Kercem.

The Organising Committee will once again present a full programme of activities and attractions over the 2 days that are directly linked with local traditions, and which is now part of the annual cultural calendar of Gozo.

This two-day activity will also include various exhibitions featuring farming tools and animals used by our forefathers. Traditional Trades, Food, Traditional Folk Music, Folk Games, Fresh Vegetables, Local fresh products and preservatives will be available to purchase at the festival. There will also be the chance to take a guided tour of the valley.

The fascinating Lunzjata Chapel will be open throughout the two days where Mass will be celebrated.

This festival is being organised in collaboration with the Ministry for Gozo the Parliamentary Secretariat for Culture and local Government, as well as the Kercem Local Council.

The general public is invited to join in this festival for all the family, and take the opportunity to appreciate Gozo in its natural state.
