The Minister for Gozo, Dr Anton Refalo recently visited The Astra Theatre in Victoria, where preparations were underway for the upcoming performance of the opera Nabucco.

The Minister met with the organisers of the opera and Festival Mediterranea, as well as with various singers and those involved in the production. Dr Refalo also met with the Artistic Director Enrico Stinchelli, and with Musical Director Prof. Joseph Vella.

Minister Refalo showed his appreciation for the work done by the many volunteers, without whom the opera would not be possible.

The Minister for Gozo reiterated that the Government is pleased to give its support to these types of events, which are so important for tourism in Gozo during the autumn period.
