Yesterday’s meeting at Xhajma Race track, consisted of 10 races including November Finals for Trot horses, organised by the Gozo Horse Racing Association.

In the main final for Premier/Gold class, ‘Orne Des Olivettes,’ under the guidance of it’s owner, Carmel Debono made a spectacular win in the last few paces. At the end of each final race, the President of Gozo Horse Racing Association, Mrs. Mary Mifsud Micallef presented cash gifts to the winners.

These are the results:

Race 1 – Shetland – 1st: Flash (Nathan Farrugia), 2nd: Blacky (Michael Xuereb)

Race 2 – Ponies – 1st: Fiorella (Joseph Vella), 2nd: Solero (Marvic Said)

Race 3 – Ponies – 1st: Pharlap (Jeanut Sciberras), 2nd: Open Your Eyes (Calvin Spiteri)

Race 4 – Ponies – 1st: Daniela (Jeanut Sciberras), 2nd: Sweet Dreams (Johnny Azzopardi)

Race 5 – Trott Bronze- 1st: Noble Pasmarick (Neville Spiteri), 2nd: Jonah Frontline (Marco Debono)

Race 6 – Trott Silver Final – 1st: Bloot Tooma (Claudio Refalo), 2nd: Damita (Daniel Hili)

Race 7 – Trott Silver – 1st: Rybo Fiona (Mark Bonnici), 2nd: Mint Spirit (Peter Paul Said)

Race 8 – Trott Bronze Final – 1st: Avenue (Darren Mercieca), 2nd: Hotchemin (Neville Spiteri)

Race 9 – Trott Premier/Gold – 1st: Wee Catch Diamond (Joseph Mercieca), 2nd: Nevaio De Bordes (Claudio Refalo)

Race 10 – Trott Premier/ Gold Final – 1st: Orne Des Olivettes (Carmel Debono), 2nd: Pactole De L’Iton (Marco Debono).
