Anyone travelling from Mgarr towards Victoria, will have noticed that the sculpture 'Freedom,' situated on the Mgarr Road roundabout near the entrance to Fort Chambray, has been looking a lot brighter lately.

The sculpture by Gozitan artist John Grima, has been cleaned and wax polished meticulously by hand to remove all the accumulated dirt.

Wirt Ghawdex restoration group members carried out this work as part of an ongoing Public Art sites programme in Gozo. All works are being funded by the Ministry for Gozo.
