As part of the ‘Christmas in Gozo’ series of events, which are taking place across the island until the first week in January, the Gozitano Agricultural Village, starting next weekend, will be turned into a Christmas Village, hosting a series of events and activities, all related to the Christmas theme.
The Agricultural Village will be transformed through music, illuminations and food stalls offering an impressive selection of wines from 17 different countries and 37 different wine regions with over 1000 different wine labels, and a wide range of local delicacies from the recently launched ‘Ogygia’ range.
Other traditional mouth-watering Christmas food will also be available from these stalls. Gozitano attractions will also include production of traditional Christmas sweets by the Institute of Tourism. A unique hand-made crib made entirely from chocolate, made by the Institute will also be on display.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to taste the locally produced Gozitan artisan beer, Lord Chambray – launched on the market last summer.
Two exhibitions will be at the Agricultural Village, one by various artists depicting a Nativity theme, with the curator being Paul Stellini. The second is a photography exhibition depicting never-before-seen photographs of Palestine entitled – Palestine: reality in photos, with the curator Elaine Zammit Haber.
The Gozitana Agricultural Village, Mgarr Road, Xewkija, will be open on the 12th, 13th, 14th, 19th, 20th and 21st of December, between 9.00am and 8.00pm.
