A public lecture is to be held at Il-Hagar | Heart of Gozo Museum, on Saturday, the 20th of December, with speakers Joe Camilleri and Lino Borg, entitled ‘Gorg Fenech – L-Artist tad-Dawl u Kulur.’

Gorg Fenech’s (1926-2011) oeuvre includes portraits, genre, religious work, still-life and landscapes, mostly inspired by the valley and farmhouses around Mellieha village in Malta.

His personal, poetic vision is a great contribution to landscape painting in Malta and his works have left a great impact on Maltese art of the 20th century.

The lecture, which will be delivered in Maltese, starts at 10.30am and the general public is invited to attend.

This coming Saturday, the 13th of December, the Museum is hosting the continuation of the series of pre-Christmas mini concerts by the Gozo School of Music, now forming part of the Visual & Performing Arts Centre.

This second concert will present Violin Ensembles playing mostly Christmas music, and starts at 11.30am. The general public are cordially invited to attend.
