The Gozo SPCA warns the public to be vigilant after it recently recovered a very large cat from San Lawrenz after it was spotted with his paw caught in a very old trap which was open.

The Gozo SPCA said that they cannot say how long the trap had been there but it was still in working order.

Luckily for the cat it appears only to have dislocated his paw and has a few cuts. He is currently in the Centre recovering well from his ordeal and is due for another visit to the vet early this week.
