There are only a few shopping days left for Christmas, and if you are still trying to decide on a last minute perfect present for Christmas, that is out of the ordinary, but special at the same time, then hopefully this may just be the answer, what about helping an unwanted animal?

Gozo SPCA in Victoria run a sponsorship scheme for their animals at the Rehoming Centre, who live both inside and outdoors.

Each of the animals has its own story to tell on why they are spending their Christmas at the Centre and not in their own loving home.

Some have been abandoned, just left on the roadside to try and fend for themselves, others have been cruelly neglected and some are there because of changes within their normal home environment.

Whatever the reason, once they are brought into the safety of the Centre, the volunteers will provide the love, care and attention that they have been missing, as well in some cases, nursed back to health, and this is done every day of the year without fail.

So think of the animals this Christmas, it will be the perfect gift for your loved ones, or maybe for yourself, And the perfect gift for one of the animals at the Centre.

For a donation of just €30 (or more) per year, you can sponsor one of the animals at the Gozo SPCA Rehoming Centre

Gozo SPCA will send you a photograph of your sponsored animal along with details of how it came to be with them.. You will also get a certificate of sponsorship. They will also update you regularly on the progress of your sponsored animal.

Your donation will go towards the feeding, upkeep and veterinary care of the animal you have sponsored. It will also provide toys and treats which help improve their quality of life. Should your sponsored animal be lucky enough to be re-homed, then the Gozo SPCA will transfer your sponsorship to another deserving animal of your choice.
