The 14th edition of of the Live Crib, opens on Wednesday, presented by the Guiding Light Group who are located at the Jesus of Nazareth Church in Xaghra.

The group, which welcomes adolescents and youths who are united in their quest towards a spiritually guided life, has taken up this initiative with the sole aim of delivering a message to all those who visit the Live Crib.

As the Catholic Church comes closer to closing off the year dedicated to faith, the Live Crib offers its visitors a unique experience where one can reflect to rediscover their faith in God.

With its main aim having been from the very first day to deliver Christ’s message to the world, the live crib focuses on the meaning of Christ’s birth rather than narrating the Christmas story.

As always, it is the group’s aim “to spread the joy of Christmas into our everyday lives through the Live Crib’s Christian message.”

Characteristically, the Live Crib will showcase Jewish culture and traditions as experienced in Christ’s time.

The nativity scene is situated in front of the Church of Jesus of Nazareth in Xaghra Gozo. Entrance is free.
