The Gozo Educational and Social Activity Committee, with the collaboration of the Community Chest Fund has, for the second consecutive year, organised a Fun Walk in aid of L-Istrina.

The Fun walk was held on Sunday 21st December, starting from the Gozo General Hospital main gate and the route took the participants to Ta’ Pinu Sanctuary and back.

The organisers said that they were honoured with the participation of the President of Malta Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca, who joined them on the walk.

Hospital staff also voluntarily went from ward to ward collecting donations. They managed to collect €2,212.94 which were given to the President herself during the Christmas Concert organised by the hospital staff for the resident and geriatric patients.
