The new PN candidate for Gozo Ryan Mercieca, held a press conference today giving his views on Gozo’s future development, during which he emphasised the importance of education, in giving the younger generation hope for a better future for the island, as well as the creation of new jobs which, he said, would require highly developed skills and technological know-how.

During the press conference, which was hosted in front of the University of Malta, Mercieca also launched the website www.myideaforgozo.com, with the aim of encouraging people to propose their ideas for Gozo through the internet.

The website would offer anyone the opportunity to share ideas with others and offer proposals which would eventually be translated into action, after being presented to the PN’s policy fora for Gozo.

Mr Mercieca concluded with the following statement, “Gozo should not be caught in a political crossfire. Let us build a sustainable future with innovative ideas with the sole aim of securing Gozo’s wellbeing and earmarking Gozo as a valuable asset for this country. Investment in Gozo is an investment in Malta. A future for Gozo is a future for Malta.”
