Last month the Ministry of Education launched Education+, as part of the Government’s Framework for the Education Strategy for Malta 2014-2020.

The Gozo Youth Council said that it would like to commend the Government on trying to change and develop the way children are educated in Malta; “the move towards real student-centred education is long overdue,” it said.

The GYC added that it hopes that this initiative “will be implemented in Gozo efficiently, and in the same manner that it is done in Malta.”

“Gozo is too often left on the back burner, and one hopes the implementation in Gozo will not be an afterthought,” the GYC concluded.
