The Electoral Commissioners is reminding prospective candidates that the Commissioners will be in attendance at their office in Evans Building, Merchants Street, Valletta and at the Identity Cards Office, 28A St. Francis Square, Victoria, Gozo, from 9.00am to 1.00pm and from 3.00pm to 7.00pm on Wednesday, the 18th, Thursday, the 19th and Friday, the 20th of February, 2015, to receive nominations by candidates for the forthcoming Local Council elections:

Birgu, Isla, Hal Qormi, Haz-Zebbug, Siggiewi, H’Attard, Hal Balzan, Had-Dingli, Birzebbuga, Floriana, Gzira, Ghajnsielem, Hal Gharghur, Hamrun, Iklin, Kercem, Hal Kirkop, Hal Luqa, Marsa, Marsaxlokk, Mosta, Munxar, Nadur, Paola, Qala, Hal Safi, San Giljan, San Lawrenz, San Pawl il-Bahar, Santa Lucija, Swieqi, Xaghra, Zebbug, Zurrieq

Prospective candidates are advised to present, besides the deposit of €90, their identity card and that the top section of the nomination form should reflect the details of the candidate as shown in the electoral register published on 26th January, 2015.

In case that the nomination form needs to be submitted by a representative of the candidate, the representative must supply a power of attorney authenticated by a notary public.

Application forms for prospective candidates may be downloaded from the Electoral Commission website or may be obtained from the Electoral Commission’s Office as from today and during nomination days.

Objections to nominations shall be received at the same office during the days and hours established for nominations as well as on Saturday, the 21st and Monday, the 23rd of February, 2015, during the same hours.
