Roderick Galdes, the Parliamentary Secretary for Agriculture, Fisheries and Animal Rights, together with Mr John Magro, Chairman of Magro Brothers Group of Companies, as well as Ministerial Officials, addressed two well attended meetings in Gozo and Malta, for farmers cultivating tomatoes for processing.

The main focus and discussions that followed were on the new EU Voluntary Coupled Support scheme which will guide, both processors and farmers, involved in the tomatoes for processing sector, through the current EU budget for 2014 – 2020.
