The Parliamentary Secretariat for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and Active Ageing, has advised that those persons who wish to make use of the new services now available for the elderly in Gozo, must obtain an application from the Department for the Elderly and Community Care, or download them from the website of the Parliamentary Secretariat for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and Active Ageing, under the relevant service required.

The Parliamentary Secretary for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and Active Ageing, Dr Justyne Caruana, recently announced several new services for the elderly in Gozo, including respite care and long-term residential care.

Dr Caruana added that “work is also due to start shortly on organising other services for the elderly in Gozo, with a Night Shelter service expected to be operational in a few days.”
