The Ministry of Energy has announced that the price of 12kg gas cylinders, will be reduced by €1 from €18 to €17 for the months of March and April.

The Ministry stated that this will be the lowest price for gas cylinders in this period for three years, with the highest price reached of €19.70 for the same size cylinder, which was during the month of April under the previous administration.

“This policy of stability is translated to Maltese consumers by benefiting from a rate of inflation which is much lower than in previous years, since the policy of stability is reducing the uncertainty of prices has made it easier for people to plan their expenses in advance.”

The Government added, “this contrasts with the movement in gas prices month by month under the previous administration.”
