The OASI Foundation in collaboration with the Ministry for Gozo, Gozo Sports Board and Gozo College is organising the 1st edition of the OASI Family Fest, which is taking place on Sunday, the 22nd of March.
This event aims to provide people with a fun, positive space where they can enjoy themselves alone or with friends or family.
It is taking place over the same weekend that Gozo Channel are offering reduced ferry fares, namely between the 20th to the 22nd of March. Passenger fares will be €1.50 instead of €4.85 and car and driver will be €8.50 instead of €15.70. So it will be the perfect opportunity to visit the island and enjoy some fun at this family themed event.
At 10.00am, a walk and run will set off from the OASI Centre, in Wied Sara Street, towards the Ta’ Xhajma Race Track. Her Excellency Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca, President of Malta, will be participating in this activity, and will be accompanied by the Minister for Gozo, Dr. Anton Refalo, and His Lordship Mons. Mario Grech, Bishop of Gozo.
Also at 10.00am, the doors of the Ta’ Xhajma Race Track will open to the public. Inside, activities and attractions for children will include train rides around the racetrack, Shetland pony rides, a zip-line simulation, go-karts, the Human Flytrap, the Gladiator Duel, a bouncy castle, the Mega Slide, glitter tattoos, face painting and mascot characters.
Meanwhile, adults will be able to browse an Artisan Market, where a number of artists will be selling their products. The event will come to an end at 2.00pm.

The participation fee is €7, and all those taking part in this activity will be presented with a commemorative t-shirt. Children under the age of 12 can participate free of charge and must be accompanied by an adult.
For those who wish to join us at the Xhajma Race Track, all activities are free of charge, but donations are welcome.
