A 42-year-old man from Zebbug, Gozo, is in a critical condition, after he was hit by a vehicle in Triq L-Ewropa, Victoria, Gozo, earlier this evening.

The Police have advised that the vehicle, a Peugeot 106, was driven by a 23-year-old woman, from Victoria.

The man was taken to Gozo General Hospital for medical treatment, where he was certified to be in danger of dying.

Police investigations are ongoing and the Duty Magistrate has appointed an inquiry into the case.
