The former Nationalist MP Victor Galea Pace passed away on Friday evening in Malta. The sad news was announced on Facebook and Twitter by the Opposition Leader Simon Busuttil, where he said, “our former MP and good friend, Victor Galea Pace, has just passed away. Victor will be remembered for his loyalty. May he rest in peace.”
Mr Pace died at the age of 72, he was elected in 1994 as the first Mayor of Victoria, Gozo, during which time he carried out several important projects for the locality. He was elected to Parliament from Gozo in the General Elections of 1996 and 1998.
Mr Pace is survived by his wife Vivienne, a local PN Councillor in Sliema, and two sons.

Victor was a loyal adversary. Although we used to represent two different political parties and also local Band Clubs, we always had a good relationship. Victor was a gentleman who was liked by many. He was amble helped by his wife Vicky during his time in politics as should be.
May he rest in peace. May his family find pheasant memories of happier times.
