The next public lecture organised by Wirt Ghawdex is taking place on Friday, the 20th of March, entitled ‘Peculiar Nature Events related to Gozo,’ by Joe Sultana, ornithologist and naturalist.

‘Two urchins at Wardija; LGhasfur t’Ghawdex; An 18th century dissertation;’ and ‘An Editor’s visits to Gozo.’ will be four of a number of quaint, nature stories related to Gozo which the speaker will recount and illustrate.

Joe will also take the opportunity to inform the audience about the people and nature involved in these curious episodes.

Joe Sultana is a widely known and well-respected Gozitan ornithologist and naturalist who served for several years as President of Malta Ornithological Society/BirdLife Malta, Council Member of BirdLife International, consultant of the European Diploma for Protected Areas of the Council of Europe, and Principal Environment Officer of the former Dept. of Environment.

This promises to be an informative as well as entertaining lecture.

The lecture, which will be delivered in English, takes place at Santa Cecilia Chapel, starting at 6.30pm Seat reservations, by sending an email to membership@wirtghawdex.org, is recommended.
