Students from Year’s 4, 5 and 6 of San Lawrenz Primary, Gozo College, have been on a science eco-trail, walking down to Dwejra, taking the ancient, rarely used, rock hewn path, alongside abandoned quarries in the area.

The rainy weather did not deter the enjoyment of the students, who learnt about local flora and fauna, identified various illegal dump sites in the area, saw the rock layers in the cliff side, the cart ruts and the effects of wind erosion.

The event was organised by Science Teacher Joseph Gatt, in collaboration with the EkoSkola coordinator Ms. Marvic Refalo.
