The Gozo Youth Debate, a collaboration between the Gozo Youth Council and Agenzija Zghazagh was held on Saturday.
The event consisted of a series of debates moderated by Dr. Andrew Azzopardi, between groups of Gozitan youth on a number of topics. Several Gozitan youth organisations took place, among them the Nadur Youth Council, the Victoria Scout Group, Innovative Gozo, as well as youths not affiliated with an organisation.
The debate competition was won by the newly founded LGBTI+ Gozo, an organisation that aims to represent and organise activities for LGBTI+ people in Gozo. Second place went to GUG, the Gozo University Group. Each was given a cash prize and a trophy.
The Gozo Youth Council and Agenzija Zghazagh said that they are pleased by the success and attendance for this event and look forward to becoming an annual event.
