The Civil Protection Department has advised that, together with SOS Malta, it will be collecting donations which will be sent to the people of Nepal and which will be used as humanitarian aid.

SOS Malta said that it is preparing to give vital aid to those affected by the devastating earthquake in Nepal, which has so far killed thousands of people and left parts of the country in ruins. “We shall be working with our contacts on the ground who are assessing the needs of those affected.”

“We will be providing food, water and non-food items such as hygiene kits and kitchen sets to some of the people believed to have lost their homes in the earthquake.”

Members of the public who wish to make a donation can do so via bank transfer to the bank accounts listed below.
