The Police have advised that a man has been arrested following the discovery on Wednesday evening, of material related to the manufacturing of fireworks in Triq Santa Dminka, Victoria, Gozo.

The material was found at around 6.30pm, inside a green shipping container placed inside a field in the vicinity of a convent, the Police said.

Duty Magistrate Paul Coppini was informed about the case and appointed several experts to assist with a Magisterial Inquiry.

Further investigations are underway by the Gozitan Police.
