This coming Tuesday, the 26th of May, Gozitans will be commemorating the 25th anniversary of the historical visit made by Saint John Paul II to Gozo.
The JP2 Foundation, in collaboration with Ghajnsielem Local Council and the Franciscan Minors Community in Gozo, will be presenting a commemorative concert to mark this occasion.
Ghajnsielem was the locality that welcomed His Holiness, and it was the locality to bid farewell to the Pontiff. Therefore this is the locality which is best indicated for the holding of this official commemoration.
The concert will host Emese Toth and David Long, a Violin Duo from Hungary, Miriam Rapa and Sara Rapa, a young Violin Duo from Gozo, and Soprano Ruth Portelli accompanied by Mro. Dr. John Galea.
The concert will take place on Tuesday 26th May, at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Ghajnsielem, starting at 8.15pm.
The General Public is invited to attend.
