Gozo office inaugurated for the Simplification & Reduction of Bureaucracy

The Minister for Gozo, Dr Anton Refalo, together with the Commissioner for Simplification and Reduction of Bureaucracy Dr Anthony Agius Decelis, today inaugurated the new Office for the Simplification and Reduction of Bureaucracy, which is located within the Ministry of Gozo.
Dr Refalo said that this is one of several offices being opened in Gozo under the present administration, which, he said, will be beneficial for the island of Gozo and Gozitans.
The Minister said that one of the priorities of this Government is to cut down on bureaucratic red tape, aiming to reduce it by 25% by the end of this legislature. He added that this reduction should allow both the public and businesses to be served in a more efficient and rapid manner, besides providing a strong stimulus for the economy of the island.
Commissioner Anthony Agius Decelis reiterated that this office will help to increase efficiency in the work of the Government. This office will receive and action the demands of the public and various entities, within the Ministry for Gozo, the Commissioner said.
He said that the office will also host meetings with Ministers, Parliamentary Secretaries, or those persons contracted to work in the various Ministries. Therefore creating a link between Gozo, the Office of the Prime Minister and various Ministries.
