The Award is a celebration for the endless work, dedication and motivation undertaken by persons in the Active Ageing sector. This is an annual event that will form part of the celebrations that will be held during the month of October, which is dedicated for the Elderly.

“The aim of this award is that to celebrate the milestones of these individuals and organisation that support the concept of Active Ageing and also the rights of Elderly Persons. And for the Government to show its appreciation to all of those who are working for a more inclusive society, where elderly persons and their families have access to more inclusive communities and encourage independent living.”

The principle guiding this award is that we have more just communities where elderly persons are more active within the community.

Justyne Caruana thanked the members of the selection panel, which will be headed by Prof. Carmel Borg. Applications are open until Friday, the 18th of September.
