Young Business Entrepreneurs: Gozo Youth Business Forum 2015

A Youth Business Forum 2015, has been held in Gozo, organised by the Young Business Entrepreneurs in collaboration with, and the support of, the Ministry for Gozo, Agenzija Zghazagh, Ernst & Young, APS Bank and the National Lotteries Good Causes Fund.
During the forum, a survey was launched which took place in May, entitled: ‘Participation of youth in the labour market and insights into entrepreneurial activities.’
This survey was conducted among 1,000 young adults across Gozo and Malta. the highlights of which were presented by Simon Barberi from EY Malta.
The event, which was organised in the frame work of the structured dialogue process and gathered a large number of young people, from various backgrounds, but who were all interested in entrepreneurship and wanted to contribute their ideas about this subject.
These young people took part in 3 different workshops namely: Education – Inclusion of Entrepreneurship in the Educational system, Entrepreneurial Ecosystem – Building an environment that supports young adults into business and Jobs in Gozo – Empower young adults to set-up and create jobs in Gozo.
The aim of these workshops was that apart from discussing the subjects mentioned, the young people had to come up with recommendations for policy makers regarding youth entrepreneurship in Malta.
The Minister for Gozo Dr Anton Refalo also attended the event, which was held at the Grand Hotel.
