The Gozo University Group (GUG) has said that it is giving its full support toward the latest law passed in the European Parliament. This law will enable students and locals alike, to purchase just one ticket, which can be used for both the ferry and public transport.
The GUG said in a statement that besides the fact that time and effort will be conserved, this system may also help to encourage the use of public transport, as well as help combat the problems of parking and traffic on both islands.
“As GUG is aware of the benefits of such a system they urge cooperation, consistency and swiftness in the setting up of the service,” the Group concluded.

The GUG can give it all the support they like. Unfortunately, they’re unlikely to get what they want this century. 🙂
