The JP2 Foundation is once again hosting a foreign choir to perform in Gozo as part of the JP2 Memorial Festival 2015.
On this occasion it is the Emanuel Choir, from the UK, who will be giving a concert at the Nativity of Our Lady Basilica Church, Xaghra, on Tuesday the 14th of July.
The Emanuel Choir is part of the Emanuel School in London, and included Gozo in its tour for 2015. The choir is under the music direction of Allan Clay from Essex. Allan graduated from the Royal Academy of Music in London, where he studied piano with Alexander Kelly, organ with Christopher Bowers-Broadbent and composition with Roger Steptoe.
Allan was appointed Head of Preparatory Music at Felsted School, Director of Music at Harrow School Bangkok, the International School of Lusaka in Zambia, Ashford School in Kent, and most recently, Emanuel School.
The choir will perform a concert, immediately after their participation during the 7.30pm Mass. This event is being held in full collaboration with the Xaghra Parish Chapter.
The general public is invited to attend.
