Giochi – it’s a knockout games continues its series of games in the villages of Gozo. The latest competition took place in Sannat Square.

The winning team in this event was the Doqdi’s with 29 pts followed by the Nike’s team with 27 points. The games were very exciting and the winner was decided in the final game – the tug of war..

The team will represent Sannat in the final, which is being held in Marsalforn on the 10th of September.

The villages entering this year are Zebbug, Xaghra, Xewkija, Sannat, Kercem, Xlendi and Victoria. Whichever team wins int the village kockouts, will meet in the final. The Xewkija event has already been held.The event also included entertainment by local singers and dancers. The supporters who went along to cheer on their teams all said that they enjoyed the fun, family event.

The next games are to be held in Xaghra on Thursday, the 30th of July and in Xlendi on the 8th of August, Zebbug on the 17th of August and Kercem on the 20th of August.

Sponsors for the events are TcTc, Arkadia, Gozo Express and Errea. Whichever team wins the final wins a smart watch for each player and vouchers from the sponsors. ?
