A technical fault on the thrusters of the MV Malita meant that two of the early morning trips had to be cancelled, Gozo Channel said.

The MV Malita trips for 6.30am and 7.00am were cancelled, but Gozo Channel said that it took all the necessary measures, operating a third vessel, therefore loading all waiting passengers and vehicles to the other two ferries in service.

Gozo Channel said that normal ferry services have now resumed and apologised for any inconvenience caused.
