Travel by bus and pay with your tallinja card and Transport Malta will give you free credit. If you travel 10 times during November you will get €10 credit on your tallinja card in December. The credit does not expire.

Transport Malta said that this is an incentive for whoever travels with the tallinja card. It applies for all cards including those for children, students, adults, concession cards and Gozo residents.

Travel and Get €10 Offer

1.The "Travel and Get €10 Offer" (referred to as "the Offer") gives the holder of a tallinja card (referred to as "the Customer") a Bonus Credit of €10 when travelling a minimum of 10 Journeys between 1 and 30 November 2015 (both days included) using the public transport network which is operated by Malta Public Transport. The Bonus Credit may be used for travel on the bus and will be made available to the customer between 1 and 31 December 2015.

2. A "Journey" is defined as any number of trips from any point in the country to any final destination, including line changes if necessary, within a two-hour period. A Single Journey can also include boarding more than one bus and/or making more than one trip to get from any point to the final destination. The Single Journey Fare does not include (i) the return trip on the same route of a Journey even if this is within the same two-hour period (ii) the continuation of a Journey along the same route even if within the same two-hour period. Therefore, a Journey may include one or more trips.

3. Journeys made between 1 November and 30 November 2015 (both days included) contribute towards the Offer.
– For avoidance of doubt, Journeys which are made once the cap is exceeded and hence for which no credit is deducted, are also eligible for the Offer.

4. The Offer may expire earlier than this date should the available funds be utilised quicker.

5. The Customer may benefit from the Offer only once.

6. The Customer must validate each one of the 10 Journeys using his/her tallinja card. The customer must validate the tallinja card before every Journey as per standard terms and conditions

7. The balance on the Customer's tallinja card will be updated to reflect the €10 Bonus Credit between 1 and 31 December 2015.

8. Only personalised tallinja cards will benefit from the Offer. These include the child, student, adult, concession and Gozo cards.

– For avoidance of doubt, the Explore Adult, Explore Child and 12 Single Day Journeys card are not eligible for the offer.

– Furthermore, customers who are paying in cash on the bus have no right to claim the Bonus Credit.

– Furthermore, customers who have applied for a new tallinja card or a replacement tallinja card or a different tallinja card but have not yet received the card yet may not claim the Bonus Credit even upon presentation of used tickets.

9. The Customer may not exchange the Bonus Credit for cash or in kind.

10. If the Customer terminates the tallinja card and claims a refund for the credit on the card as per tallinja card standard terms and conditions, the Bonus Credit whether in full or the remaining balance will be lost.

11. If the Customer loses his tallinja card, only the credit as well as the Bonus Credit that are shown at the time of reporting of such a lost card may be transferred to a new card upon the customer's request.

12. The Bonus Credit does not expire.

13. The Offer forms part of the MODUS, a project aimed at making public transport more efficient, reliable and attractive to use. The Project is part financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
