The National Statistics Office is organising a programme of activities among students to mark World Statistics Day, an event celebrated among EU and other UN members.

This time it was the turn of Year 8 students from the Gozo College Secondary School in Victoria, to have the opportunity to take part in the events.

The first part of the activity consisted of two presentations; one educational about the NSO and World Statistics Day and the second consisted of giving the students the results of a brief questionnaire which was carried out with them.

The second part of the activity consisted of a quiz, with 3 teams of 5 students per team invited to take part.

Prizes were presented to the winning team and to the runner ups, while a trophy was presented to the school as a memento of the day.
