All schools in Gozo both state and Church schools, today celebrated World Children's Day with the aim to raise funds for Puttinu Cares.

The schools all took part in Uniform Free Day, which was organised by the Christmas in Gozo Committee within the Ministry for Gozo.

Minister Anton Refalo, committee members, representatives of Puttinu as well as the College of Gozo together with the popular characters of 'Nannu Pawlu u n-Nanna Tona.' visited several schools, where they were able to take part in some of the various activities organised to raise donations for this worthy cause.

Minister Refalo praised the children for their generosity, while explaining how this money raised will be used to provide assistance to other children who are currently going through difficult moments in their lives.

The donations collected in this activity will be presented to Puttinu Cares on Friday, the 11th of December during a Mass at Ta' Pinu led by the Bishop of Gozo Mario Grech, dedicated to Leah. The Mass is at 10.30am and will be broadcast live on tvm2.

The Minister thanked the Gozo College and the Curia for their support and assistance in making this event such a success.
