The Diocesan Assembly 2015 and the feast of Christ the King

The Church convened its annual Diocesan Assembly on Friday and Saturday at the Catechumenal Centre, Mosta, presided by Archbishop Charles J. Scicluna.

On Friday the focus was on Church pastoral policy regarding the family, when Gozo Bishop Mario Grech gave a presentation in the light of his experience at the Bishops' synod in Rome.

Fr Emmanuel Agius gave a presentation on Saturday morning of the position paper prepared by a group of experts regarding assisted human procreation.

This was followed by Archbishop Charles Scicluna, who spoke about the vision of the Church in Malta, also in the context of the Jubilee Year of Mercy.The Diocesan Assembly 2015 and the feast of Christ the KingThe assembly was attended by members of the most important Church Councils that advise the Archbishop, as well as leaders and representatives of all entities of the Church in Malta.

These include the Archbishop's delegates, provincials of religious congregations, parish priests and lay representatives of all parishes, heads of Church schools and leaders of Catholic associations and movements.

Today, Sunday the 22nd of November is the Feast of Christ the King, celebrated in Gozo and Malta.
