The fist Gozo Christmas Parade took place on Saturday evening, inaugurated by the Minister for Gozo Anton Refalo.

The parade moved along Republic Street and up to Independence Square Victoria, with characters such as Father and Mother Christmas,' as well as Christmas bells and animated characters for the festive season that are so popular with children.

More than 200 children dressed in colourful costumes took part in the parade, all under the direction of Centre Stage Dance Academy. At the end of the parade, the D Capital's Band played for the audience at Independence Square.

This parade is part of the Christmas programme organised by the Christmas in Gozo Committee.
