The Annual General Meeting of the Gozo Philatelic Society was held recently at Il-Hagar Museum in Victoria. After reports by President Louis Bonello and Secretary Antoine Vassallo, there was a discussion from the floor on how to encourage more juniors to take up the hobby.

Mr Bonello and MaltaPost Chairman Joseph Said then distributed certificates and prizes to the participants in the annual GPS Exhibition which is held every November in the Gozo Ministry Halls.

The Best Item award went to Anthony Grech, receiving the George Vella Challenge Trophy and the main prize sponsored by MaltaPost.

All other Open exhibitors are having a MaltaPost account opened in their name. Juniors each received a Stockbook (offered by the main sponsors).

Before a group photo and refreshments, other philatelic material was given which had been provided by overseas members.
