The Ministry of Sustainable Development, Environment and Climate Change, has announced in a statement today that Prof. Victor Axiak has been appointed as the Chairperson of the Board of the new Environment and Resources Authority.

The appointment of the Board of the Authority for Environment and Resources is as follows:

Vice Chair (and a Public Officer in Social Policy): Ms. Carmen Buttigieg

A representative of Voluntary Organisations Key Sector Environment: Prof. Alan Deidun

Public Officer in the Environment: Mr. Alan Pulis

Independent member: Prof. Alfred Vella

Independent Member: Dr. Jason Bonnici

Independent State: Architect Ruben Abela

Independent Member: Dr. Louise Spiteri

Independent State: Ms. Alexia Pisani

Opposition representative: Prof. Maria Attard

This Board will start its work by facilitating the operational process and full functions of the Authority.
